Partnership with the Africa Oxford Initiative supports new opportunities for African students

While the Oxford University graduate admissions process is currently underway for 2021 entry, Reuben College is delighted to announce a partnership with AfOx (the Africa Oxford Initiative) to award up to four Oxford-Reuben Graduate Scholarships to successful applicants from Africa who choose to study with us. The scholarships cover full course fees and maintenance for the duration of the course for selected students starting courses in 2021-22. Scholarship-holders from Africa will additionally benefit from participation in AfOx’s carefully curated programme of leadership development, networking and mentoring opportunities.

AfOx is a cross-university multidisciplinary platform based at the University of Oxford with the aim of facilitating equitable and sustainable academic partnerships between the University of Oxford and African universities, as well as increasing the number of African students pursuing postgraduate degrees in Oxford. The Oxford-Reuben Graduate Scholarships programme has been made possible through the generosity of the Reuben family’s founding donation to Reuben College and matched funding from the University of Oxford’s graduate funding scheme. Students who applied in the November or January gathered fields and for a course for which Reuben College admits graduate students will automatically be considered for these scholarships. No separate application is required. Selection is expected to take place in April 2021.
