Researchers get closer to the goal of flood-proof crops

Emily Flashman is one of the researchers who recently published a paper in PNAS that shows how they have identified a key player in plants’ molecular makeup—one which might help us flood-proof crops against this uncertain future. She is quoted in an article for Anthropocene Magazine as she explains their approach and its implications for efforts to help crops survive in flood conditions.
