Jeroen Bergmann

Biography

Professor Jeroen Bergmann is an Associate Professor in Engineering Science. He completed his PhD at King's College London and worked in research labs at Imperial College London and MIT. He has a keen interest in Biomedical Entrepreneurship and has worked on a range of industry collaborations and business development projects.

As Group Leader of the Natural Interactions Lab he is managing his research team to develop assistive and preventative technologies through the translation of engineering principles between domains, thus creating unique medical devices. He has experience in developing laboratory prototypes and taking them through clinical validation and human testing to make a real-world impact.

Jeroen is also the director of Oxford Healthtech Labs, which is focused on training the next generation of global (social)innovators in healthcare technology. Oxford Healthtech Labs uses an immersion-driven methodology to create technology for social impact in healthcare at a global scale.
