We are delighted that Reuben College will be having our inaugural ball on the April 28th! We are joining forces with Linacre College to put together a graduate ball, the proceeds of which will be going to charity. Alongside the transformation of Oxford’s Town Hall into an enchanted forest, ball-goers can expect a jam-packed night of performances, dancing, nibbles and drinks! Whilst the dress code is black tie, guests are encouraged to creatively interpret the theme.

With this being Reuben’s very first ball, we are starting with a bang with a range of performances across the evening. Six incredible members of the university’s Pole Sports Society will be performing enchanting routines for ball guests - if you’ve ever been lucky enough to have seen them before you will know that this is not to be missed. Our enchanted forest will also host a dramatic ballet performance by OU Dance Society, as well as a live funk band to open the event. If that’s not enough, we will have a silent disco where you can groove to the music of your choice. If you want refreshments after exploring our enchanted wonderland, you can either grab some nibbles from a delicious selection of canapés or a drink from the bar (using your drink tokens). You can capture memories from what is bound to be an extraordinary night in the photobooth which provides free, customised print outs.

We will be raising money at the ball for local Oxford-based charity A2Dominion, a housing association which provides a range of affordable homes for rent and sale. They put 100% of their profits back into home-building and are committed to investing in local communities, and help support and find affordable homes for key workers, retirees, students and domestic abuse survivors. Our Women’s Officer Thea and the Ball Committee were particularly taken by the ethos of this charity and the student body voted to support A2Dominion. Alongside all profits from the ball going to the charity, there is an option at the checkout when buying your tickets to add a donation. We will also be hosting a charity raffle on the night of the event with services and prizes being kindly donated by local services and vendors.

Tickets are available via this link for only £85 for Reuben and Linacre students whilst general admission tickets are available for £110, making it one of Oxford’s least expensive balls! The last two ticket releases sold out quickly, so be sure to get yours before they run out; once they’re gone, they’re gone!
