Welfare

Help is available to support your wellbeing, both from College and the wider community.

We understand that this will be a difficult time for many and that the impact of the pandemic will be felt differently by everyone, particularly by those having to isolate or stay away from loved ones. Student Peer Supporters (shared between Linacre and Reuben common rooms) have been trained to help other students think through issues and provide emotional support in a safe and confidential way. Please do not hesitate to reach out to them at: peer.support@linacre.ox.ac.uk.

The Reuben Welfare Dean (welfare.dean@reuben.ox.ac.uk) is another point of contact for any member of the College who is in need of advice and support. For welfare emergencies that require urgent, non-medical attention, please call the Linacre lodge (01865 271650) and ask for the Reuben emergency contact to be called.  The College Welfare Team – Sub-Dean, Welfare Dean, Senior Tutor or Dean(s) - will follow up as required on a 24/7 basis.

The University has developed guidance that signposts a number of different internal and external support services and their contact details.

You may find this guide for those self-isolating from Oxford SU helpful, and Student Support has put together a variety of useful resources for looking after your wellbeing during the pandemic here.

For medical emergencies, you should call 999.
