Reuben College welcomes six new Fellows

We are delighted to welcome six new Fellows to Reuben College this autumn.

The appointment of Sushma Shankar, Phil Fowler, and Calli Dendrou will grow the College’s Cellular Life research cluster, which brings together researchers seeking to understand the underlying mechanisms of living organisms, with an emphasis on the cell. Our new Fellows bring particular expertise in immunology and microbiology. In addition, Anjan Thakurta has also been appointed as a Fellow, again in the Cellular Life theme, in conjunction with a Professorship (Chair) of Translational Medicine.

Caroline Green has been appointed as a Research Fellow, a category of Fellowship which supports post-docs within the University. Caroline's appointment is in conjunction with a research post at the Institute of Ethics in AI, Faculty of Philosophy.

Finally, Ben Lambert joins us as an Associate Research Fellow, in conjunction with his appointment as Academic Director of the Schmidt Futures AI in Science programme

The College is thrilled to welcome all six fellows and warmly anticipates their varied contributions. At the same time, we wish farewell to one of our Fellows who leaves us for pastures new: Ilan Davis leaves us to become Professor of Spatial Biomedicine at Glasgow University.
