Nawaf is currently pursuing his Master's degree in Energy Systems at the University of Oxford. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from The University of Manchester, where he achieved a notable academic record, ranking as the second top student in his cohort. He is a Misk fellow in the Mohammed Bin Salman Foundation.
His professional journey includes an internship at the Centre of Complex Engineering Systems, a collaboration between KACST and MIT. During this time, he authored a research paper titled "Differential Evolution for Peak Demand Aware Economical Sizing of Photovoltaic Systems," presented at the 2023 IEEE ISGT ME conference.
Nawaf also participated in the Global Leadership program for sustainable energy systems at the Mohammed Bin Salman Centre for Future Sciences and Technologies at the University of Tokyo. In addition, he was a speaker at the 6th edition of the Future Investment Initiative conference. With a keen interest in the policy and economics of the energy field, Nawaf is poised to continue contributing to this sector's development and growth.
